“Our little gem nestled right in between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.”

As we’ve grown into our tiny 20 seater restaurant, our passion for local produce has grown into an obsession. After much deliberation and guest feedback we have decided to change how our dining experience works for our guests.

When we took over Number Nine just over 3 years ago, the restaurant already had a great reputation locally for serving quality small plates. Since then our passion has been to create a network of great local producers, working with local farmers, so that we can create a sublime sharing experience, with simple regional flavours all whilst supporting British farming and becoming more sustainable.

We have replaced our small plate, tapas style, menu with a brand new A La Carte menu. This has given us the opportunity to really concentrate on quality, coupled with our mission to celebrate Cumbrian, Yorkshire & Lancashire produce, whilst reducing waste as much as possible. We even grow many of our herbs and some veg as possible in our greenhouse located in our beer garden and are looking at expanding to our very own allotment.
